Hospice House operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, providing services completely free of charge. Donations of the following items are always needed and appreciated:
- Tide He laundry detergent
- bleach
- Lysol air freshener
- soda (1/2 cans or small bottle are appreciated)
- bottled water
- juices (single serving cans: apple, cranberry, prune and orange juice)
- cans of chicken noodle soup (small or single serving size)
- Jell-O cups
- Pudding cups
- brownie mixes
- cake and icing mixes
- instant oatmeal
- sugar
- flour for breadmaking
- light bulbs (40-60-75 watt and 50 watt flood bulbs)
- toilet paper
- paper towels
- paper napkins
- boxes of tissue
- fabric softener sheets
- lavender pure essential oil (available at Ukrop's health food or GNC)
- bird seed
- small to medium size gently used or new ladies nightgowns
- large men's new or gently used t-shirts
Comfort pillows:
Comfort pillows are given to each of our home patients and to each guest at Hospice House. These small pillows are used to ease discomfort from the effects of illness. Our pillows are custom designed and made by some of our Hospice Guild members. A variety of materials are used such as:
- Old lace doilies
- handkerchiefs
- tablecloths
- men's ties
- pillow stuffing
- white or black cotton/poly thread
- patches of leftover fabric
Other Items Needed:
- wheel chairs in good condition
